The Challenge
The existing brand lacked a strong, unified visual language. It felt cluttered and didn’t communicate the museum’s exciting and hands-on approach to science. The challenge was to create a fresh, contemporary identity while maintaining the museum’s credibility and connection to its audience.
The Solution
The new logo is built around a striking, abstract starburst—representing discovery, connection, and the excitement of learning. The deep blue primary color establishes trust and knowledge, while secondary colors add vibrancy. Clean, geometric patterns create a sense of movement and exploration. This identity extends across signage, merchandise, and digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and recognizable presence.
The Result
The rebrand successfully modernizes OMSI’s identity, making it feel more engaging and relevant. The refreshed look not only aligns with the museum’s mission but also enhances visitor experience and brand recognition. It positions OMSI as a forward-thinking institution that continues to ignite curiosity for generations to come.
